The first wave of Grammy Nominations have been announced the 2015 Grammy nominations are an all-day event this time around. The news started rolling on Friday’s CBS This Morning as Pharrell Williams and Ed Sheeran announced four categories for the 57th Annual Grammy Awards.

Best country album:

Riser, Dierks Bentley
The Outsiders, Eric Church
12 Stories, Brandy Clark
Platinum, Miranda Lambert
The Way I’m Livin’, Lee Ann Womack

Best pop vocal album:

Ghost Stories, Coldplay
Bangerz, Miley Cyrus
My Everything, Ariana Grande
Prism, Katy Perry
X, Ed Sheeran
In the Lonely Hour, Sam Smith

Best urban contemporary album:

Sail Out, Jhene Aiko
Beyoncé, Beyoncé
X, Chris Brown
Mali Is …, Mali Music
Girl, Pharrell Williams

Best Pop Solo Performance

“Chandelier” – Sia
“Stay With Me” – Sam Smith
“Shake It Off” – Taylor Swift

Best Rock Song

Here is the ROTY category. Three of which are the most terrible, generic, basic songs to come out this year. Sam Smith or Sia should win and I would be ok if Taylor won… But, Who wants to bet they will be pulling a Macklemore and rewarding Igloo for her contributions to hip-hop? I love that Jhene Aiko made the cut… Congratulations to her…
