Robert Griffin III is loved by all Redskins fans because if your fans buy your whole entire wedding registry than you are the man! However, RGIII equally loves his fans just as much because he has decided to dedicate this season to a 13- year old boy with a prosthetic leg. Rico Felix is a die hard Redskins fan and has Griffin’s face on the prosthetic leg. When RGIII was asked how it made him feel when he saw Felix’s leg his response was :
“I’m speechless,” Griffin said upon seeing the leg. “I don’t know what I can say about that, except that it’s an honor.”
On the other side of the leg is the Washington Redskins logo. Felix truly looks up to Griffin because he admired how quickly he recovered from his injury.
“He … he’s inspiring,” Felix said before meeting Robert. “When he got his leg surgery, it reminded me of me. See, as I grow, my bone grows, so I have to have a surgery. But he inspired me to get back up on my feet after I had surgery.”
RGIII called it “an honor” to sign the leg and as he was shaking hands with young Rico, promised to dedicate the 2013 season to the youngster.
“We’re gonna do it this year,” Griffin said. “We’re gonna do it for you.”
