Randy Jackson is officially out as an American Idol judge: The good news is Randy will  still be apart of the American Idol crew, just not as a judge.

Randy Jackson who is also Mariah Carey’s manager will work as a mentor and not a panel judge this time around, DAWG!!! Wow we are going to miss Randy….

However, rapper/producer fashion designer Pharell and  Nick Jonas are the latest front runners for the job as a judge on American Idol.

According to one of these several reports Nick Jonas is close to signing the deal; while Pharell Williams is still in the negotiating stages.

Jonas recently appeared on Broadway in “How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying”.

Idol producers are looking for Jonas to bring in the young vote.
