No Fairy Tale ending for Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks

The New York Knicks ended their season last night in game 6 of the series against the Indiana Pacers. The team started off so well this season with an overall regular season record of 54-28 but lost their spark towards the end of the season. Despite this setback the team came to play in the playoffs winning the first series against the Boston Celtics 4-2. However, the team struggled in the next series to the Indiana Pacers falling 2 to 1 in the first three games of the series. They also had a tough loss in game 4. The New York Knicks really came to play in Game 5 making a major comeback. Carmelo carried the team on his back the whole series but could not get any consistent help. He scored 39 points in game six which still was not enough to pull the win off. Once again Carmelo is done in May and still does not have a ring to show for all of his hard work. It took Lebron James 9 years to win a ring, future hall of famer Charles Barkley played in league for 16 years and never earned a ring. I wonder what lies ahead for Mr.Anthony, only time will tell. Maybe things will be different next season but until then the Indiana Pacers will go on to the next series for the Eastern conference championship and play the Miami Heat on May 22 in Miami on TNT at 8:30 PM ET.
