Even in death Marilyn Monroe is still slaying the competition, Marilyn revealed a long time ago that Chanel was the only fragrance she wore before going to bed at night. Now there will be an ad campaign in her honor it will feature Marilyn in her heyday, posing with a bottle of Chanel No. 5 nestled in her cleavage in an archival photograph by Ed Feingersh.
The house recently discovered the audio recording of a 1960 interview Monroe had with Georges Belmont, then editor-in-chief of Marie Claire magazine, where she speaks about the perfume’s well-appointed place in her wardrobe.
There is no word if Chanel is paying Monroe’s trust for use of her image, but I love Marilyn despite her flaws, she was so beautiful.. I prefer CoCo Chanel, though…. Not a fan of No.5 reminds me of my grandmother she wore this perfume to the death!
