I guess Nick Cannon was wrong when he shouted out “American Idol doesn’t have enough money for his wife (Mariah Carey) to be a judge on their show”.

According to Dateline- Mariah Carey is steps closer in becoming a judge on American Idol, so close that they will pay her more money than what Jennifer Lopez wanted to “stay on board”.

“I hear Carey would command a salary of more than $18 million for next season, which would set a new record for talent on a reality series, eclipsing the paycheck of Idol‘s Jennifer Lopez.”

Mariah can really sing so that’s a plus, but she can not dance nor act, so lets see how this works out.

Honestly they are looking for more ratings, and I am not sure that Mariah Carey will bring it either. They need a “judgmental” honest “guest judge” a consumer, like myself, I wouldn’t demand such a big contract, I am educated in music, and I am great and available Fox if you need me  (LOL).
