Celebrity or not, rules are rules; NO TEXTING during the movies. A movie-theater chain called Alamo Drafthouse, has a very strict no-texting policy we have learned that they recently banned Madonna from ever watching a film at its facilities. According to PageSix Madonna kept using her BlackBerry during the Lincoln Center premiere of “12 Years a Slave.” (Not 12 years a slave Madonna, damn)
When an audience member asked her to stop, the blonde, who turned out to be none other than Madonna, snapped back, “It’s for business . . . enslaver!”
Alamo, headquartered in Austin, Texas, prides itself on kicking moviegoers out if they refuse to stop texting, and seized on the news.
The company’s co-founder and CEO, Tim League, tweeted, “Until she apologizes to movie fans, Madonna is banned from watching movies at all Alamo Drafthouse locations.”
A company spokesman confirmed that the tweet came from his boss.
Don’t you hate when people pull their phones out during the movies? Do you think Madonna will apologize?
