Christian Rapper La Crae, Suing Katy Perry Over “Dark Horse” Song

2013 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner

La Crae and 3 other Christian musicians are suing Katy Perry for copyright infringement, claiming her hit song “Dark Horse” replicated their 2008 song “Joyful Noise.” Rappers Marcus Gray, Emanuel Lambert, Le Crae Moore and producer Chike Ojukwu are seeking damages from Katy Perry, Juicy J, Lukasz Gottwald, Sarah Theresa Hudson, Max Martin, Henry Russell Walter and Capitol Records.

The four Christian musicians added in the filings that their song has been polluted by “witchcraft, paganism, black magic and Illuminati imagery,” according to the complaint filed on July 1 in St. Louis.

Take a listen for yourself…..this one maybe harder to prove because there are similarities but I guess they will have to prove that Katy and her team heard their track.

This is not Perry’s first time of allegedly copying a song, last year critics pointed out similarities between her song “Roar” and Sara Bareilles’ song “Brave.”
