Today was the first day of service at the Emmanuel Church in Charleston, South Carolina since the massacre last week when a gunman opened fire at a Bible study, killing nine people. According to reports and church goers the service started with a message of love, recovery and healing today. Last week family, friends, celebrities and most people with compassion in their heart shared their condolences and heart break regarding this senseless act of evil. Today on Father’s day Jay Z tweeted and spoke out “Love to all the beautiful souls lost in the Emmanuel Church. Special Father’s Day prayers to those who lost their dad.”
“We still believe that prayer changes things. Can I get a witness?” the Rev. Norvel Goff said. The congregated responded with a rousing “Yes.””But prayer not only changes things, it changes us,” Goff said.
Continue to have faith and love in your heart, this was such a senseless act filled with so much evil and darkness — do not let the devil still your joy and light.
