Jay Z “I Think That Hip-Hop Has Done More for Racial Relations Than Most Cultural Icons”

“We are more alike than different,” Jay Z said on Oprah’s Master Class, some people will dismiss what he said but I must admit I agree. Watch the video and see if you agree with Jay Z.

“I think that hip hop has done more for racial relations than most cultural icons,” he says. “Save Martin Luther King, because his dream speech we realize[d] when President Obama got elected. But, the impact of the music, you know, this music didn’t only influence kids from urban areas. It influenced people all around the world.”

  1. I read about this somewhere else online, I’m not going to say that I agree, cultural Icons are living people, so, I think that anytime a person does their part, I to some point overshadows a form of art/entertainment being used to do the same, jus’ my opinion. PEACE!!!

  2. Hip Hop has destroyed an entire culture of youth. GTFOH with this rubbish. I guess these hip hop artist calling women b!tches & h0z did black women justice. He’s sounds foolish!

  3. I love Jay Z but no.. He sounds like a sheltered affluent liberal white woman. He’s seriously naive about racism.
