Dolce & Gabbanna Says Gays Shouldn’t Marry or Raise Babies

d&g gay marriages

Elton John and Italian LGBT community urges everyone to boycott fashion designers Dolce & Gabbana after a recent comment they made regarding gays and IVF. In an interview in Italy’s Panorama magazine in which the Dolce & Gabbana said: “We oppose gay adoptions. The only family is the traditional one.”No chemical offsprings and rented uterus: life has a natural flow, there are things that should not be changed.”

Dolce and Gabbana are gay, former lovers but they’re against gay marriage and against same sex parents raising kids.

Procreation “must be an act of love,” Dolce told Panorama, according to a translation by the site The New Civil Rights Movement. “I call children of chemistry, synthetic children. Uteri [for] rent, semen chosen from a catalog.” (With this logic they’re also against straight couples going to fertility clinics too.)

“The family is not a fad,” Gabbana went on to say. “In it there is a supernatural sense of belonging.”

Well of course that did not sit well with a lot of people, Especially Elton John and the Italian LGBT community – who are asking people to boycott the fashion designers. Sir Elton John took to instagram and posted the following message.

“How dare you refer to my beautiful children as “synthetic”. And shame on you for wagging your judgmental little fingers at IVF – a miracle that has allowed legions of loving people, both straight and gay, to fulfill their dream of having children. Your archaic thinking is out of step with the times, just like your fashions. I shall never wear Dolce and Gabbana ever again. #BoycottDolceGabbana

The real irony is that both Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are openly gay, but they believe their views – should they be boycotted for speaking their opinions and views?

  1. They have the right to say what they want. Just as we all do. I personally don’t think being gay is natural and I am not for gay marriage or anything of that nature but I also wont vote against it. I was raised to love someone for who they are, not what they do. We all sin after all. Jumping to the extremes of not buying their products anymore is childish.

  2. No, I don’t think that they should be boycotted for speaking their opinions & views, everybody has a right to their own opinions & views. PEACE!!!
