Joseph Cammarata, the lawyer representing eight women that are suing Bill Cosby for an undisclosed amount of money, now plan to depose 27-time Grammy Award winner Quincy Jones to strengthen their case against the Cosby.
Cammarata seems to be on a fishing expedition, seeking more information to help his defamation case against Cosby by deposing his family and friends. Jones,83, and Cosby,78, have been friend for over 50 years. Cammarata seems to think Jones may have some knowledge that will help his case against Cosby.
The women suing Cosby for defamation are Tamara Green, Katherine Mae “Kathy” McKee, Therese Serignese, Linda Traitz, Louisa Moritz, Barbara Bowman, Joan Tarshis and Angela Leslie.
All claim in their suit that Cosby allowed his representatives to portray them as liars after they went public with their allegations.
Cosby has always denied all allegations of assault.
The same document says plaintiff’s attorneys plan to call former Cosby lawyers Martin D. Singer and John P. Schmitt, spokesman David Brokaw, Jones, Jr., and they plan to demand documents from William Morris Endeavor, the former William Morris Agency which represented Cosby and where a woman who now accuses Cosby once worked and was introduced to him.
Wonder how many more elderly friends will the attorney try and depose for decade old information???
