Beyoncé just signed on for the role of Queen Tara in the family friendly animated film, Epic, according to Deadline. Beyoncé Knowles will join Josh Hutcherson, Amanda Seyfried, Steven Tyler, Colin Farrell, Pitbull and Jason Sudeikis who will also be featured in the 3D flick. 

Epic will be released May 24, 2013.

This is the first movie project for Beyoncé as a mother. She is still schedule  to star in the Clint Eastwood-directed remake of  A Star is Born for Warner Bros.
