Heidi Klum in her first major red carpet appearance post-divorce—and the supermodel blew us all away in this stunning plunging neckline seafoam green gown from Parisian designer Alexandre Vauthier.
Ginnifer Goodwin wears a vintage-inspired Monique Lhuillier red dress
I particularly care for awards shows, but I love the red carpet cable TV broadcasts. The 2012 Emmy Awards Red Carpet was brimming with gorgeous gowns and dapper tuxedoes. Here are the highlights of who wore who.
Lena Dunham’s cute grown out pixie cut deserves an equally cute dress. That’s why her matronly Prada gown was a huge fashion don’t. She looked depressing and dowdy—two words that should never be used to describe Prada. Aaron Paul, on the other hand, is a class act in his Prada tuxedo and bowtie.
Alexandre Vauthier Couture
Heidi Klum wowed in a flowing Alexandre Vauthier Couture gown. A low V neckline and sky-high slits let everyone know that this model mom’s still got it.
Zooey Deschanel wore a pale blue Reem Acra gown. We’re going out on a limb to give Ms. Deschanel the benefit of the doubt and betting that this dress was much prettier in person. However, the color washes out her skin tone and the lace overlay makes the dress look unfinished and jagged in photographs.
Ginnifer Goodwin and Padma Lakshmi rocked orange like bosses in Monique Lhuillier gowns. Each gown was styled very differently and perfectly fit the unique style of each woman.
January Jones looked sexy and modern in her black Zac Posen gown. Kelly Osbourn showed off her svelte figure in a lovely lavender gown by Zac Posen. She even had smoky purple hair to match.
Keith Urban’s simple black tuxedo by Fred Leighton looked a little big on him, even for a slim cut suit. It bunched a bit much in the sleeve for our taste. On the plus side, it didn’t take away from wife, Nicole Kidman’s stunning white and turquoise sequined Antonio Berardi gown.
