Well tell us how you really feel Babyface, he sat down with Oprah Winfrey to discuss his life and marriage to his ex wife where he revealed that he was never truly in love with Tracey Edmonds. The two met on the set of his video “Whip Appeal” and things took off. The couple quickly became parents to sons Brandon and Dylan. But their marriage soon crumbled and Tracey filed for divorce in 2005.
Babyface says: “The reality is that there was a connection that wasn’t really there,” Babyface said during a sit-down interview with Oprah. “We loved each other but we weren’t really in love with each other. It was more the idea of it falling apart and me holding onto the image of what I thought we were.” He added: “I don’t feel like we were supposed to be together forever. I’m okay with it because I think she’s okay.”
So, he stayed for 13 years, pretending? For the sake of the kids? Or did he marry her for “other” reasons? Allegedly, Babyface left his first wife to marry Tracey. There are also allegations that Tracey was using what she got to land Babyface, but I don’t get Oprah’s line of questioning. Who goes through a list of the men an ex wife has been with and ask the ex husband about it? You can’t deny this man’s music… He is a legend in his own right.
