Now as we talk to Fly Guy Vito he explains about his new movement and his plans for the future.
EM: How long have you been grinding in the music industry and has music always been a part of your life?
A: I been grinding for six years, but I have been serious with it for four. Music has always been a part of my life, but I never thought I would actually be making music for a living.
EM: Was there a specific moment in your life where you thought, “music is what I want to do”?
Listen to Rockstar… Now
A: Um, yes! Back in 2006 before I graduated, my best friend was killed. I didn’t know how to express my feeling so I use to express my thoughts in poetry. I finally decided to put my poems and thoughts behind a beat just to see what it would sound like. When I heard my finished product and was feeling the atmosphere of being in the studio, I knew then this is what I want to do.
EM: What inspires you (or your music)?
A: What inspires me? I would say positive energy and feedback from my music as well as my family support. I am very family oriented and for my family to come out to the different events I have is priceless. That’s all the inspiration I need.
EM: Who’s on your iPod playlist?
A: I have various artist on my playlist such as Lil Boosie, Ice Burg who is an underground artist, Lil Wayne, Drake, Wiz Khalifa who is also my favorite rapper even though I don’t drink or smoke, I look up to him because he is so positive.
EM: What Makes Fly Guy Veto different from all the others in the game right now?
A: I wouldn’t say im different, I’m just me. I’m comfortable in my own skin and I’m not doing anything to please anyone. Just doing what God put me on the earth to do.
EM: Who have you or want to work with in the music industry?
A: Yung L.A, Parlae who had the song “Lean wit it, rock wit it,” Yung Buck just to name a few. As far as who I want to work with Wiz Khalifa, Juicy J, Snoop Dogg, Too Short, Nelly Furtado, Pharrell, Pusher T, Big Sean, Kevin Gates, Miguel, and Wale. List goes on
EM: Whether you’re an actor, musician, or artist, I imagine it is hard for anyone to break out into mainstream America. What has been your struggles and triumphs in the business? Are you interested in venturing to markets overseas?
A: The struggle is getting people to buy into you. Getting people in higher power to believe in to what you’re doing even though you haven’t sold any records. I do want to do things overseas and eventually venture out and do some acting.
EM: Do you have other passions in life? Do you believe passion is an essential part of success?
A: Yes and Yes! If you lack passion you won’t go the extra mile to make your dream true.
EM: What advice would you give to someone just starting out in the industry?
A: Believe in yourself. Never let someone’s opinion deter you from doing what you want to do. Not even if it’s your mom, dad, brother, or sister. Do what will make you happy forever.
I completely concur with his last statement…. Do what will make you happy forever!.. Guys be on the look out for him… He is very talented.. I can’t wait to hear more from him.
